Blake Shelton partners up with JCPenney for JCP Cares

Country singer and The Voice coach Blake Shelton announced JCPenney’s new philanthropy, JCP Cares, in partnership with the United Service Organization (USO) at his sold out show on Friday. The program kicked off with a $1 million donation to the USO. Shelton will support JCP Cares through the year, as he will serve as the company’s JCP Cares ambassador.

Shelton met with the troops (and even a rescue dog!) and took photos as he announced JCP Cares. JCPenney will also donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the USO for each customer that checks in to a JCPenney store via foursquare from July 23-31.
