Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe premiere “John Carter” in Los Angeles

Taylor Kitsch walks the red carpet at the Regal Cinemas for the premiere of his new movie, John Carter, on Wednesday. Kitsch, 30, told Access Hollywood that his high-action role did come with some injuries.

“Some groin tears to high ankle sprains, some good cuts. I would love a bruise on some days compared to what I was actually dealing with,” he said. “[But] I loved the challenge.”

Kitsch signed autographs and waved at fans during the premiere of John Carter, which hits theaters March 9, 2012.
