Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig at “Dragon Tattoo” premiere

Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig attend the New York premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo at Ziefeld Theater yesterday. Mara, 26, told David Letterman that she didn’t read the books until after her first audition.

“So I went and read all three books and I became obsessed with the character and I couldn’t imagine my life without playing he,” she said.

Mara is wearing a black Prabal Gurung dress with a sheer back and Christian Louboutin heels.
