Britney Spears announced the beginning of the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008, alongside dorky actor Jonah Hill . The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards showed off performers such as Rihanna, Pink, The Jonas Brothers and was hosted by Russell Brand.
