Pregnant Malin Akerman hosts event to support Nicaraguan schools

Pregnant actress Malin Akerman and the Environmental Media Association (EMA) hosted a cocktail reception to benefit the  international nonprofit organization, Opportunity International. She dedicated herself to help expand education services across Nicaragua after a recent trip to the area. She also hopes to raise the $65,000 needed to build two new classrooms at Opportunity International’s Entrepreneur High School in Granada, Nicaragua.

Malin poses with Carla Gugino and Emmanuelle Chriqui at the Opportunity International reception. The school in Nicaragua is set to open this February and Malin and her husband are planning on attending the opening.
