Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz at Keep a Child Alive Black Ball

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz left their baby boy Egypt at home to host the 8th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom. “The theme is going to be all about India because we’ve moved into helping to serve India in regards to what they’re going through with the AIDS pandemic, just like we do in Africa,” Keys told MTV News. “It’s going to be beautiful, the music is going to have a little Indian style to it as well, which is super fun for me to explore.”

Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez attended the Black Ball, as did Michael Kors and Serena Williams. There were some outstanding performances from Keys, Usher, Norah Jones and Will.I.Am.
