Glee star Darren Criss attended the Family Equality Council Awards Dinner on February 9th at the Globe Theatre in California. The Family Equality Council honored notables in the world of arts, entertainment, politics, and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community for their efforts to advance equality for all families. NBC was this year’s honoree for its positive representation of parents who are LGBT, as well as industry influencers including Criss.

Kickin’ It star Katherine McNamara supports the world’s largest girl-led business during National Girl Scout Cookie Day on February 8, 2013 in New York City. McNamara, who is also a Girl Scout, toured the cookie truck and chatted with Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Anna Maria Chavez about the fact that this program brings in $790 million to help teach girls important skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics and people skills.
