Oprah celebrates poetry in the April edition of O Magazine with 21 stars, including Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Bono, sharing their favorite poems. “I love What Are You Doing because it shows pain turning into peace,” Ashton Kutcher revealed. “The poem was written by my father, Larry M. Kutcher, who joined the Marines at 17. When you recognize that your parents carry scars, you develop new appreciation for their love. Here’s the second stanza: ‘Where are you going, what are you doing, what is your five year plan? /They handed me a flag, sent me off to war, and said you’ll comeback a man.’”

Oprah Winfrey graces the cover of the December 26 issue of Parade and chatted about her life, her new OWN network and the possibility of failure. “What will be a failure is if nobody comes and watches this network. What others will perceive as failure is if some shows don’t succeed. I’m concerned about the bigger overall picture: My belief that people are basically good and want to see the good in them reflected through their experiences and the shows that they watch. This is a gamble I’m taking. I believe that the banal state of television, the kind of insipid space that we’re in — that you can have as many channels as we have and not find anything that really interests you — means that to a great extent we’ve lost our way.”

During her Australian trip, Oprah Winfrey chatted with a slew of celebs from Down Under, including the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin’s family. At the Sydney Opera House, Mom Terri Irwin posed with Oprah along with her children, Bindi and Bob, who proudly showed off their pythons and apparently have their father’s adventurous spirit.

Russell Crowe joined in Oprah’s Australian adventure when he took her for a tour of Sydney Harbour in his boat, named Eagle Rock. Oprah Winfrey wore a hat given to her by Russell Crowe that sported the logo of his rugby team, South Sydney Rabbitohs, as she enjoyed sailing the seas with her audience on yachts behind them.

Oprah has been taking over the outback with her Australian trip. While treating her 300 guests to the Australian adventure of a lifetime, Oprah Winfrey threw a huge bash overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was lit up at night with a big red O of course.
