First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, received the 2010 White House Christmas tree which arrived via a horse-drawn carriage on the day after Thanksgiving. While a band serenaded the trio, they inspected the Douglas fir which reached over 18 feet and received a thumbs up from the Obama girls.

During the Obama’s trip to India, First Lady Michelle Obama spent some time at the Mumbai University enjoying some Bollywood tunes and dancing with disabled children at an event organized by NGO Making A Difference. Michelle Obama discussed the importance of education, saying, “Working hard, studying and having courage are the important things in life. I also studied hard in my life. I never thought, ‘I will become the First Lady.’ But when I got a chance, I was prepared for it because of education. You can be successful and smart with education.”

After being introduced by President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama took the stage during the closing session of the Clinton Global Initiative. During the First Lady’s speech she spoke about one of her passions — military families — and encouraged leaders worldwide to hire veterans.

High five! President Barack Obama congratulated youngest daughter Sasha after she had a hole-in-one playing miniature golf. The first family (minus Malia who was at camp) spent some time in Panama City along the Gulf Coast in an effort to bring business back to the area.

First Lady Michelle Obama was a special guest at the Lakers versus Celtics game, along with daughter, Malia, and mother, Marian Robinson. Showing off those famous biceps, Mrs Obama wore an asymmetrical zebra print dress. Before the game, mother and daughters treated themselves to hot dog’s at LA’s famous Pink’s, a Hollywood legend.
