Rock gods Muse, Chris Wolstenholme, Matt Bellamy and Dom Howard, picked up the Best Band award for the second year in a row at the 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards in London. Other musicians to win big at the O2 Academy Brixton included Arcade Fire, who picked up Best Album for The Suburbs, and My Chemical Romance, who won Best International Band and Best Video.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, who is dating Kate Hudson, posed bravely with a snake and tweeted, “Just been told she can kill 100 men!” Muse is currently touring Australia and took a little time out to visit with the animals from Down Under.
