Debbie Gibson was a late 1980’s and early 1990’s teen icon with songs such as “Foolish Beat”, “Only in my Dreams”, “Shake Your Love” and “Lost in Your Eyes” to name a few. She was also at the age of 17 the youngest female to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit single (in the USA) with her song “Foolish Beat,”. She continues to record, and reached the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart as high as #24 during 2006 in a duet with Jordan Knight titled “Say Goodbye.”

Cate Blanchett is married to playwright and screenwriter Andrew Upton whom she met while filming the movie “The Seagull” together they have 3 children all boys! Along with other prospects which included Gwen Stefani of all people Cate Blanchett was actually considered for “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in the role that so famously brought Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt together (and who knows we could be seeing “Brate” instead of Brangelina!

As the film progresses, the two fall in love, while struggling to deal with the issue of one growing younger while the other grows older.

She has shown a much more mature and classic side of her that is very far from the “Stripped” era she once flaunted. Who knows maybe she realized her son might see her looking like a trashy hooker one day! You never know! Since then she has (and even during her pregnancy) appeared in beautiful gowns, dresses and generally shown a more classy adult side to her. I am sure her husband Jordan Bratman has also been a classier influence on the pop diva! Christina Aguilera has also been involved with certain charities such as PETA, Defenders of Wildlife, Missing Kids and also contribute regularly to Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh along with also being a supporter of the LGBT community.

Oprah Winfrey is loved by many and her success and generosity has of course fueled that fire! Most recently Oprah has been in the tabloids over her girls school in South Africa . Allegedly the girls were physically and sexually abused by a employee which has resulted in an arrest. South Africa has one of the largest rates of child rape in the world. After the incident Oprah provided all the girls with cell phones and her personal phone number should anything arise. She has also been criticized for some “lavish” things at the academy which included a salon for the girls and high thread count sheets (god forbid these poor girls sleep on anything than a dirt floor! ) . Through it all Oprah has embraced the issues with dignity and has managed to keep her academy running to help these girls have better educations. Oprah has also been called one of the most powerful women in America. You go girl!

Recommended Movies - “The Fountain” : While considered a Sci Fi/Fantasy movie this movie truly is about romance, love and fate. While it does have the sci-fi and fantasy feel to it , it also has a very romantic one also and can be somewhat of a tear jerker at times. Another film “Definitely, Maybe ” is a romantic comedy which also stars Isla Fischer, Ryan Reynolds, and Elizabeth Banks. The story is about a father who is going through a divorce and his daughter whom asks him how he met her mom and decided to get married. He then goes along telling the story to his daughter while changing some names so she has to guess who was her mother. Its a beautiful story and a more softer side to Ryan Reynolds. While Rachel Weisz isn’t exactly a main character the movie itself is definitely worth mentioning and even more worth the watch!
