Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away from congestive heart failure at the age of 79 on March 23, 2011, and the world mourns the legendary screen siren and HIV/AIDS activist. Her son, Michael Wilding, released a statement paying tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, saying, “My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humour, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world. Her remarkable body of work in film, her ongoing success as a businesswoman, and her brave and relentless advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, all make us all incredibly proud of what she accomplished. We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for mom having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts.”

Sarah Jessica Parker went through a range of emotions as she greeted friends and was seen wiping away tears during the memorial held for designer Alexander McQueen in London. Although McQueen committed suicide back in February, a service was held in his honor at St. Paul’s Cathedral as London kicked off its Fall Fashion Week.

On the one year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, his mother, Katherine Jackson, was in Gary, Indiana, where she unveiled a new statue at his childhood home. She gave a speech and shook hands with fans who surrounded her yard.

Gary Coleman, comedian/actor/reality star who resided in Utah where he met his wife while filming a movie, and famous for his role in “Different Strokes” passed away today at age 42 after a fall rendered him in critical condition.

Corey Haim was laid to rest in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. Family and friends gathered at the Steeles Memorial Chapel and his casket was taken to Pardes Shalom Cemetary for burial. The 80′s teen icon had suffered from addiction for years and recently overdosed.

Corey Haim dead after apparent drug overdose!He was fund in his mother and then rushed by ambulance to Burbank’s Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, where he died at about 3:40 a.m. Corey Haim along with Corey Feldman were teen staples during the 80′s and early 90′s. Supposedly over the years Corey Haim picked up a cocaine and prescription drug addiction and was admitted to rehab reportedly at least 15 times.
