Actress Charlize Theron is inducted as UN Messenger of Peace during a ceremony at the United Nations in New York City.
Fun Facts about Charlize Theron - She originally was a model at the age of 16 . She also trained as a Ballet dancer until a unfortunate knee injury closed that career path for her.
Charlize Theron has appeared in the following films - Children of the Corn 3 (non speaking part!), That Thing you Do, Mighty Joe Young, The Astronaut’s Wife, Sweet November, The Italian Job and most recently Hancock with Will Smith.

Actress Daryl Hannah with the latest Greenpeace Energy Revolution Report at the Greenpeace offices in Budapest. Daryl Hannah visited the Greenpeace office to show her support and sign up to the Energy Revolution campaign. She also agreed to attend with Greenpeace the local fine dust -STOP SMOG demonstration demanding the Hungarian Government clean up Budapest.

Tracy Pollan ( Michael’s wife!) , Michael J. Fox and Ryan Reynolds attending “A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Cure Parkinsons”, a benefit held by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York.
Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991 and did not go public with the diagnosis until 1998. Michael J. Fox has a career stemming from the 1980’s with movies such as “Back to the Future”, “Teen Wolf”, Doc Hollywood” and “The American President”. He also starred on “Spin City” from 1996 to 2001. it is also rumored he will be playing in a episode of “Rescue Me” sometime in 2001 supposedly a role as a paralyzed man in a wheelchair.

Hayden Panettiere receiving an award from the Mayor of Washington, DC for educating the public about the district¿s ineligibility to vote as a state. She was very excited about receiving the award outside the Capitol building.
Hayden Panettiere is the spokesperson for the “Save The Wales Again! campaign. “Save the Whales” movement, was established in 1951 to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animals by humans. The Whaleman Foundation is an oceanic research, conservation and production organization dedicated to preserving and protecting dolphins, whales, and their ocean habitat.
