Ellen DeGeneres, along with Portia de Rossi, arrived at The Late Show with David Letterman, where Ellen delivered the top ten list. After her appearance with David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres made a surprise visit to the Broadway stage of Promises, Promises, a musical starring Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes.

They playfully posed for pictures while showing off their wedding bands that were, of course, made by Neil Lane. Portia De Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres were married during the summer of 2008 and look like they are still newlyweds!

I love Ellen and Portia but one question! WHY OH WHY couldn’t they have “dressed it up” a little bit? To me the celebrities that don’t go all out with gowns and suits at the People’s Choice Awards are saying essentially they really don’t care of our opinion. Portia is a beautiful woman I know she has to have something better than that get up! I think Ellen’s style is rubbing off on her slightly.
On to the People’s Choice Awards Ellen DeGeneres walked away with the award for Favorite Talk Show Host. While Ellen won the award she also was up with fellow hosts Regis and Kelly , and David Letterman. Ellen DeGeneres also had the following acceptance speach:
“I wish I could share this with you,” DeGeneres told the audience while clutching her trophy for favorite talk show host. “I could throw it on the ground and smash it into a million pieces, and give each one of you a little piece of it, but that’s violent, and that’s probably why you voted for me, because I’m not violent.”
