Oscar-winning actress Monique and Academy President Tom Sherak were up early to announce the nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards in Beverly Hills. The King’s Speech led the way with a total of 12 Oscar nominations and will go up against Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter’s Bone for the Best Picture Oscar.

Mo’Nique is known for her roles on “The Parkers”, “Flavor of Love Girls” Charmschool” and most recently “Ugly Betty” and in the movie “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins”.
