Held the night before the Oscars, Mark Ruffalo was nominated for Best Supporting Male for his role in The Kids Are All Right but the award went to Winter’s Bone actor John Hawkes.

In this movie, so far the best reviewed movie of the year, Mark Ruffalo plays the sperm donor dad to two teens who seek him out and form an unusual family. The actor has appeared in an eclectic mix of films and first caught everyone’s attention with his performance in You Can Count on Me. Mark Ruffalo is a true talent as not only a movie actor, but also as a writer and director.
