Ian Somerhalder to play Christian in “Fifty Shades of Grey?”

Is this this face of Christian Grey? The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, seen here at Earth Day celebration for the launch of the new book Last Night I Swam With a Mermaid, said he would love to play the lead role in the movie from the racy novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

“I absolutely would be up for that. It could be very, very amazing,” Somerhalder, 33, told Ryan Seacrest. “I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out.”
