In the movie Robert Pattinson plays the brooding vampire Edward Cullen who abandons his love Bella Swan after a small paper cut almost cost Bella her life. Robert Pattinson definitely seems a bit bulkier in this movie although I was a bit put off by a weird bruise or hickie  that he had during a scene with his shirt off. Hopefully it was just a fluke because you would think someone would have put makeup on it or something. Of course as you expect in the movie you do not see much of the Cullen clan period but they make a impact none the less. More or less they stuck pretty decently to the original “story” when it came to the vampire family.

Taylor Lautner at the NYC premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Taylor plays Jacob Black in the movie, a crucial character and storyline that shapes the next 2 books because not only is he a werewolf but he is in love with Bella, his pack of werewolf friends are not only his brothers but his enemies as well when it comes to his feelings towards Bella and her reputation to run with vampires. So I was extremely disappointed to find that it seemed Jacob and the story of his Pack seemed to be lost in the hype and drabness of the movie. One could only hope they have some extended version this movie could have benefited greatly with the information that they left out and just a extra 50 minutes. It wouldn’t be the first and certainly not the last 3 hour movie!

Kristen Stewart at the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” in NYC. Kristen plays Bella Swan the brooding teenager who finds and falls in love with a equally brooding vampire. Not only that but she has a knack to attract danger as well. Kristen Stewart’s performance was exactly as expected, drab, boring and moody exactly what Bella is supposed to be right? I have to admit though I could not see Bella Swan in any form regardless.

Ashley Greene attending the NYC premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Ashley Greene’s performance as the pixie-esque vampire Alice Cullen who also has visions adds some much needed animation to the film. However I was extremely disappointed that they had to chop up some of her parts as well.

Peter Facinelli at the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Peter plays the head of the Cullen vampire clan “Carlisle Cullen” I was surprised to see he too seemed to put on some weight in the film, of course his part is large but small and he did well with what he was given which wasn’t too generously.

Elizabeth Reaser at the NYC premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Elizabeth plays the quiet adopted mother Esme Cullen , a vampire with a sad story which I also hope they do not forget in the upcoming movies. I was also glad to see that unlike Carlisle and Rosalie her hair color seemed to have changed and looked much more natural.

Nikki Reed attending the NYC premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Nikki Reed plays the beautiful vampire Rosalie Hale who was intended to be a mate for Edward but instead found a brother and her new love Emmett Cullen. I was very disapointed to see that as usual they were over-compensating on her makeup to try and make her more primadonna-beautiful / and for her yellow blonde hair to be less noticeable. There has to be some way around the obvious pale makeup, maybe keep her in a box for 10 weeks? I also felt that there was something missing with her in this movie. I know she doesn’t play a large role here but it is still nagging!

Kellan Lutz attending the NYC premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” Kellan plays the goofy buff vampire Emmett Cullen, who is married to Rosalie Hale/Cullen.  His part was one of the few that made me giggle through the movie just the goofy look on his face does it all, he is the perfect Emmett!

Overall while I loved the wonderful differences this new director and a bigger budget (and better lighting!) has made I really felt the storyline was severely lacking and the movie went along too quickly. The Volturi were amazing with Michael Sheen (Aro) and Dakota Fanning (Jane) and I hope to see them in a 4th or 5th movie as well.

After a chance encounter with a theatre company outside a derelict theatre, The Mercury, Richard soon finds himself inside chatting with Orson Welles, the Director of Broadways first Shakespearean production, Julius Caesar. Welles is a bullish, competitive character who is having an affair with the leading lady, MURIEL BRASSLER, despite his wife VIRGINIAS pregnancy. Richard plays on Welles egotistical nature and manages to bluff his way into the role of Lucius; Welles swiftly couples him with the gorgeous production assistant SONJA JONES (20), to rehearse. Richard, along with the rest of the crew, is captivated by Sonjas vivacity and ability to manage everything behind the scenes by schmoozing all the right people. It soon becomes apparent that she is willing to do anything to get her big break. As rehearsals progress Richards total lack of acting ability becomes increasingly apparent and the rest of the company begin to express their concern over the state of the production. However, the wildly flirtatious Orson is too busy conducting radio interviews and seducing young women to take note, whilst Sonja seems more intent on furthering her career and her relationship with Richard. When Orson decides the company would benefit from a team-building game which involves everyone pairing off and going for a drink, Richard cheats to ensure he is paired with Sonja. Their date goes well and after spending the night together Richard declares his love for her at the theatre, the following day. His declaration is met with an indifferent response from Sonja and at the preview matinee she tells him she is to spend the night with Orson. The day of the opening, Richard is distraught to discover that Sonja slept with Orson because he promised to introduce her to Selznick, the producer of Gone With the Wind. After an argument Orson fires Richard and he storms out. Orson finds him on a park bench and apologises and Richard agrees to return to the production. The opening night is a success but its short-lived for Richard as he soon learns that Orsons apology was merely a ruse to ensure a successful first night and Orson has secured a child actor to take over Richards role. To add insult to injury, as Richard sees Sonja waiting outside the Theatre for Selznik to pick her up he learns that Sonja knew of Orsons plan all along. Richards return to normality hits him hard: he tells his family he quit because it didnt pay and he returns to school and decides to pursue a career in writing instead of acting: he has an idea for a novel about a celebrity genius. courtesy of IMDb
